A shipment of 13 tons of medical supplies financed by the European Union and organized by UNICEF was delivered to support Tajikistan in the fight against COVID-19. This means 36 250 coveralls, 40 320 medical masks, 720 non-contact thermometers, and 2 244 goggles that will be directly distributed by UNICEF to the targeted medical facilities across the country. A special monitoring mechanism has also been put in place to follow up on the match of needs and supplies. With this contribution the EU together with UNICEF, will support the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to better protect and equip healthcare workers all around the country. Now is the time for cooperation and solidarity, as the virus does not discriminate between people or borders.
