Local call for proposals for Myanmar under CSO-LA Programme and EIDHR

The European Union released a new call for proposals under the Civil Society Organisations and Local Authorities (CSO-LA) Programme and the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR). The deadline for submission of concept notes is 4 March 2019.

The 2018/2019 Call for Proposals of the Civil Society Organisations and Local Authorities (CSO-LA) Thematic Programme and the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) Country-Based Support Scheme for Myanmar has been published: https://bit.ly/2LW1r00

 

The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:

 

Lot 1 – Respect for diversity, targeting cultural and religious (inter-faith) actors, fostering mutual understanding and countering hate speech and radicalisation through intercultural dialogue and culture (Financed under CSO-LA Thematic Programme)

Specific Objective 1: To enhance cultural pluralism and intercultural understanding, including aspects relating to religion or belief, countering hate speech and radicalisation;

Specific Objective 2: To enhance dialogue and social inclusion (notably of vulnerable and disadvantaged populations such as persons belonging to minorities, migrants, women and girls, disabled) skills development and social cohesion.

 

Lot 2 – Governance of extractive industries and advocacy on land rights

(Financed under CSO-LA Thematic Programme)

Specific Objective: Promote the better governance, transparency, accountability and combat corruption of sustainable extractive industries by strengthening the capacity of civil society groups and communities to ensure the accountability of these industries, secure their rights of access to natural resources and/or to monitor the use of these resources.

 

Lot 3 – Protection of freedom of press, expression, opinion and assembly

(Financed under EIDHR)

Specific Objective: To protect freedom of press, expression, opinion, association and assembly in Myanmar.
