The Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP) comes to a close.

The Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP), concluded in 2013 between the European Union and the Centre for Development of Enterprise (CDE) under the framework of the EU-Botswana cooperation was officially closed this month.

Business Botswana, which took over the programme in 2013 through a grant following the closure of CDE hosted an event on 9 June 2017 to mark the completion of the programme.

The completion event was meant to promote results of the PSDP to key stakeholders and increase the visibility of EU support to private sector development in Botswana.

The event was attended by high ranking government officials, parastatals and opinion leaders in the private sector with a view to motivate appropriate policy and material support for possible follow up programmes.

The Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Hon. Vincent Seretse gave a keynote address while Head of EU Cooperation with Botswana, Mr. Hermann Spitz gave an overview of the project from the donor's perspective.

At the event two beneficiaries; Mr. Bernard Ndove of ICT Dynamix and Mr. Raymond Morgan of Gabs Bedding gave testimonies on how support from PSDP helped them achieve significant positive changes in their businesses."
