Visit to Rabat by High/Representative/Vice President Federica Mogherini on 16 and 17 January

High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini is to go to Rabat, Morocco, for a bilateral visit on 16 and 17 January.

During her visit, the High Representative/Vice-President will be received by Mr Saadeddine Othmani, Head of the Moroccan Government. She will also meet Mr Nasser Bourita, the Moroccan Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr Abdelouafi Laftit, the Minister for the Interior, Mr Habib el Malki, the President of the Moroccan Chamber of Representatives, and representatives of Moroccan civil society.

The visit forms part of moves to relaunch relations between Morocco and the European Union, in order to form a closer, deeper and more ambitious partnership. During her meetings, the High Representative/Vice-President and her interlocutors will review bilateral relations in the fields of politics, economics, security and migration.  They will also discuss regional policy issues.
