Each EU mission works in the framework of a comprehensive approach. The mission works in agreement and coordination with the EU Delegations in the same area and in the framework of EU regional policies.
From 18 June to 6 July 2018 the 38th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC38) took place in Geneva, aiming to bring attention to the world's most pressing human rights issues.
Tomorrow, 29 June 2018, senior European Commission and World Health Organization (WHO) officials will meet in Geneva to discuss how to strengthen health systems, Universal Health Coverage, health emergencies, and improving the health of populations (including European Commission priorities such as vaccination and antimicrobial resistance).
On 25 June the EU Delegation jointly organised with the Permanent Mission of Ireland, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) and UN Women a discussion on challenges faced by civil society organisations, with participation also from OHCHR and the International Service for Human Rights.
The 38th session of the Human Rights Council is a major forum for discussions and actions around gender equality, girls' and women's rights and their empowerment.
