Rising international tensions and conflicts at the doorstep of Europe urge us to take our collective security into our own hands.

Under the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe joint programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022”, and its action on “Quality education for all” in Montenegro, the Council of Europe is launching a call for proposals with the aim to co-fund local school-based projects to promote a democratic education environment with the involvement of the local community.

The ‘Global Goal: Unite For Our Future' campaign launched by the Commission and the international advocacy organisation Global Citizen on 28 May will culminate in a global pledging summit and concert on Saturday 27 June.

The struggle is even harder for refugees, internally displaced persons, migrants and stateless persons. With limited or no access to medical care and protection mechanisms, these people are more vulnerable to the effects of this global crisis.
