Ten years ago, in May 2009, the Heads of State or Government and representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine, the representatives of the European Union and the Heads of State or Government and representatives of Member States of the European Union gathered in Prague to strengthen our mutual ties of friendship and cooperation and to launch a strategic and ambitious partnership, as a specific dimension of the European Neighbourhood Policy to be developed in complementarity with bilateral cooperation.

On 13-14 May, the European Union, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine will mark the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership with a number of events in Brussels. They will provide the opportunity to celebrate a partnership that has proven to be mutually beneficial and has been delivering concrete results for citizens.

Launched in 2009 as a joint policy initiative, the Eastern Partnership (EaP) aims to deepen and strengthen relations between the European Union (EU), its Member States and its six Eastern neighbours: Armenia,
Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. Within this framework, all partners have committed to demonstrate and deliver tangible benefits to the daily lives of citizens across the region.

The Association Agreement including a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area provides for stronger
political association and economic integration between the EU and the Republic of Moldova (Moldova) and
has created constantly growing trade between the partners. The EU’s assistance has been providing tangible
and visible benefits to Moldovan citizens.

В 2009 году Молдова присоединилась к Восточному партнерству, а 1 июля 2016 года вступило в силу Соглашение об ассоциации между Молдовой и ЕС. Оно включает в себя инициативу создания Углубленной и всеобъемлющей зоны свободной торговли (DCFTA).

Delegația Uniunii Europene în Republica Moldova invită presa regională să aplice la cea de-a șaptea ediție a vizitelor de studii în țările-membre UE. Prima vizită de studiu din acest an va avea loc în Estonia, în perioada de 9-13 iunie, 2019.

The European Union Delegation to Republic of Moldova invites the regional press to apply for participation in the seventh edition of the study visits to EU member states. This year, the first study visit will be organized to Estonia, on 9 – 13 June, 2019.
