27 June 2015: One year on from the signature of the EU Association Agreements with Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, citizens in partner countries are starting to feel the benefits.


High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini met with the acting Prime Minister of Moldova, Natalia Gherman, today in Brussels to discuss the latest developments in the country following the recent resignation of Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici.

The EU stands ready to support a Moldovan government that will act resolutely to address the country´s needs and undertake key reforms, in the interest of its citizens.


La haute représentante et vice-présidente Federica Mogherini a rencontré aujourd'hui, à Bruxelles, le Premier ministre par intérim de la Moldavie, Mme Natalia Gherman pour s'entretenir avec elle de l'évolution récente de la situation dans ce pays à la suite de la démission du Premier ministre Chiril Gaburici.

L'UE est disposée à soutenir le gouvernement moldave dès lors qu'il agira avec détermination pour répondre aux besoins du pays et entreprendre des réformes essentielles, dans l'intérêt de ses citoyens.


On 10 June 2015, the European Union and the Republic of Moldova held the sixth round of their Human Rights Dialogue in Chisinau, Moldova. The EU delegation was led by Mr Dirk Schuebel, Head of Division for bilateral relations with the Eastern Partnership countries in the European External Action Service. The Moldovan delegation was led by Mr Vladimir Grosu, Minister of Justice. In line with its policy of consulting civil society ahead of its meetings on human rights, the EU met with representatives of Moldovan and international NGOs prior to the dialogue.


Le 10 juin 2015, l’Union européenne et la République de Moldavie ont tenu le sixième cycle de leur dialogue sur les droits de l’homme à Chisinau, en Moldavie. La délégation de l’UE était conduite par M. Dirk Schuebel, chef de la division «Partenariat oriental-Relations bilatérales» du Service européen pour l’action extérieure. La délégation moldave était dirigée par M. Vladimir Grosu, ministre de la justice.


Publications and leaflets about the Flagship Initiatives of the Eastern Partnership.

On 20-22 May 2015, EU leaders will meet representatives of the Eastern Partnership partner countries at the fourth Eastern Partnership summit in Riga to reconfirm the importance the EU attaches to its Eastern Partnership.

The Eastern Partnership has existed since 2009 and covers relations between the 28 countries of the EU and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. It is intended to provide a venue for discussions of trade, economics, travel agreements and other issues between the EU and its neighbours. On 21-22 May the latest Summit will be held in Riga, Latvia. This infographic gives an overview of the Eastern Partnership.
