The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 27 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organisations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, which have a similar function to those of an embassy. 

We offer

We offer a temporary post of Budget Officer– Initiation, in the Finance, Contracts and Audit section. The selected person will provide assistance with the preparation of procurement –related documents, will participate in evaluation committees, will draft evaluation reports and related correspondence, and will be involved in the subsequent contract-management and payments-related activities of the section. 

 

Duration: indicative (12 months)

Place of employment:  EU Delegation in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.

Working hours: 37,5 hours/week.

Local Agent position: Group I

Monthly Basic gross salary: 2797 EUR.

We look for motivated candidates, who can demonstrate the following:

Qualifications: University level degree in the domains: economics, trade, accounting, finance, audit or law.

Professional experience: at least 3 years in the following domains: procurement, contract management, economics, accounting, finance, audit, or law. Experience in an international environment will be considered an asset.

Knowledge of IT tools:

Excellent PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.

Languages:

Very good working level of English and Romanian. Knowledge of another EU language is an asset.

Procedure

After the deadline for applications, the applications will be reviewed by a Selection Committee set up for this purpose. The Selection Committee will prepare a short-list of candidates who are considered to be the most suitable for the post based on a preliminary assessment of the information provided in their application letter and the supporting documents.

 

Short-listed candidates will be invited to a written test followed by a job interview.

Citizenship

This post is a local-agent post. Applicants must be citizens of Moldova or have valid work and residence permits.
