The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited the Indonesian National Teams on chemical, biological and radiological/nuclear (C/B/RN) risk mitigation to a workshop supported by the EU CBRN Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative.

 

EU CBRN CoE Project 62: Indonesia hosts workshop for National C/B/RN Teams

 

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited the Indonesian National Teams on chemical, biological and radiological/nuclear (C/B/RN) risk mitigation to a workshop supported by the EU CBRN Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative.

The workshop, held on 13 and 14 March 2019 in Jakarta, introduced the participants from various ministries and government agencies to the holistic concepts of a CBRN Needs Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ) and a National Action Plan (NAP).

Technical support at the workshop was provided by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission and the CBRN CoE Project 62 which delivers On-Site Technical Assistance to the Manila-based CBRN CoE Regional Secretariat for South-East Asia.

The event was officially opened by Mr Rafael de Bustamante, Head of the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Indonesia, together with Mr Ricky Ichsan, Acting Director for International Security and Disarmament of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The conclusion of the two-day workshop was graced by Mr Charles-Michel Geurt, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Indonesia, and Mr Anindita H. Axioma, Assistant Deputy of the Office of the Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs.
