The European Union (EU) and the Government of Mexico are futhering their cooperation in the framework of the "Strategic Partnership for the Implementation of the Paris Agreement" (SPIPA) program which aims to encourage and assist the G20 economies to make their best efforts towards the objectives of the Agreement of Paris, taking advantage of international economic and political relations to move more rapidly together towards full implementation.
The European Union (EU) and the Council of Europe firmly oppose the death penalty at all times and in all circumstances. The death penalty is a cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment contrary to the right to life. The death penalty means revenge, not justice, and its abolition contributes to the enhancement of human dignity.
Mexico City, 7 of October. The EU Delegation to Mexico jointly with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) of Mexico carried out, on October 4, a workshop presenting the progress of the EUROCLIMA+ Program in Mexico, with the objective to set up a mechanism for permanent dialogue and coordination to develop synergies among the different ongoing EUROCLIMA + initiatives and identify their common contributions to Mexico's climate policies.
