Funding opportunity for projects promote youth employment, improve natural resource governance and enhance the capacity of the media in development

The Delegation of the European Union to Uganda has today launched a call for proposals on promoting youth employment opportunities and agency, promoting sound and transparent governance of Uganda's natural resources and enhancing the capacity of the media in development. The call, funded through the Civil Society Organisations (CSO) Local Authorities (LA) programme, which aims at furthering the involvement of CSOs and LAs in partner countries in policy formulation and their capacity to deliver basic services to the poorest sections of the population in developing countries and thereby help reducing poverty in a context of sustainable development. An information session on this call will be held on 9th July 2019 from 09:00 to 12:30 local time at Hotel Africana, Plot 2-4 Wampewo Ave, Kampala, Uganda. Should you be interested in attending this session, please send an email by close of business on Friday 5th July to delegation-Uganda-finance@eeas.europa.eu, indicating: name, surname, nationality and email address of the persons who are going to participate as well as their organisation.  The deadline for receipt of concept notes is 1st August 2019 at 13:00 Uganda Time.  Documents providing all information related to this call, including the guidelines and the template for the concept note application, can be downloaded at the following link: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/europeaid/online-services/index.cfm?do=publi.welcome&nbPubliList=15&orderby=upd&orderbyad=Desc&searchtype=RS&apply=N&aofr=165220&userlanguage=en
