The Eurojazz Festival has been held for 21 consecutive years and this year will celebrate the twenty-second edition in which 14 groups from 13 countries (Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, will participate.
Furthermore, in this edition some groups will give seven master classes to music students in order to transfer their Jazz knowledge.
The Head of the Political, Press and Information Section of the European Union Delegation to Mexico, Eleftheria Pertzinidou, highlighted that the Eurojazz Festival has contributed significantly to the fusion of styles, as well as to the strengthening and deepening of the cultural field in Mexico-EU relations.
The Eurojazz Festival started in 1998 thanks to the collaboration between the Delegation of the EU to Mexico, the Embassies of the member countries and the Cenart. Throughout these years, it has become one of the most important cultural and musical events in Mexico City.
