In addition to analysing the political, economic and social situation in Mexico and the EU, parliamentarians will address the modernization of the Global Agreement, the objectives of the Paris Agreement, sustainable development, as well as challenges in migration, security and human rights.
During the opening, Mexican Senator Citlali Hernández, Co-Chair of the Joint Parliamentary Committee, called for deepening cooperation ties in order to face the challenges of the international agenda. Meanwhile, MEP Teresa Jiménez Becerril, Co-Chair of the Joint Parliamentary Committee, declared that the new EU-Mexico Global Agreement will create more opportunities and wealth between both parties.
