The European Union and ECLAC have signed a cooperation agreement from which the project "Better policies for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Latin America" (EUROMIPYME) was launched. Its aim is to increase the quality of policies for MSMEs at the national, subregional and regional levels to promote inclusive economic growth, generating increases in productivity and reducing poverty. At the same time, it aims to build a public private dialogue between the government entities in charge of the support measures and organizations that associate micro, small and medium enterprises, considering this collaboration as a decisive factor for the generation of relevant development policies and effective.
This seminar will stimulate reflection on these issues. Based on the conclusions of the studies carried out by ECLAC in several countries of the region and through the contribution of specialists, policy makers and representatives of the business world, it will contribute to the identification and dissemination of good practices for the design of promotion to MSMEs and the generation of instances and methods of working together between public and private institutions. Likewise, work will be done on the development of a cooperation agenda between actors from both regions based on complementarities between Latin America and Europe.
