Key outputs from the 8th Seychelles-EU Political Dialogue

The Ambassador, Mr Vincent Degert led an EU Delegation comprising of 8 Member States (Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Spain, France, Hungary, Poland and Sweden) and the EU Naval Force – Somalia Operation ATALANTA Force Commander for the 8th EU-Seychelles Political Dialogue that took place on 7 October 2021 in Victoria.
From 4-13 October, the EU has participated in 12 meetings including courtesy calls on the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr Wavel Ramkalawan, the Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Roger Mancienne, and the Chief Justice His Lordship Rony Govinden. The EU also took part in the 1st EUBeachClean up at Anse Royale, 3 site visits (fisheries infrastructure at La Retraite and Cascade and the Port), 1 project launch with the Human Rights Commission of Seychelles and 1 Climate Adaptation project closure on La Digue.
