Strengthening Protection and Socio-Economic Inclusion of Populations Displaced by Instability in Mali and Supporting Social Cohesion Between Host and Refugee Communities in Mauritania

The overall objective is to respond to the protection needs of refugees from Mali residing in Hodh Chargui by promoting their socio-economic inclusion and social cohesion with local communities.
The specific objectives are:

The provision of international protection is strengthened, ensuring that individuals under UNHCR’s mandate can enjoy their rights while fostering social cohesion.

Refugees and host community members have access to decent training and employment opportunities.
The target groups are Malian refugees residing in the Mbera camp in Hodh Chargui, as well as the host community.
The final beneficiaries are:

15,000 out-of-camp refugees

80,000 individuals from the Mbera camp
-
30,000 individuals from the host community
