Net-Aïchou (Vivre ensemble)

12.08.2025

General Objective:
The “Net-Aïchou” project aims to strengthen social cohesion and maintain peace among host, refugee, and returnee communities in the Hodh ech Chargui region (Mauritania).

Specific Objective:
Specifically, it seeks to promote peaceful coexistence among these communities by strengthening local mechanisms and institutions for the prevention and management of conflicts related to natural resource governance, and by improving their access to sustainable and resilient livelihoods.

Two results will contribute to achieving the project’s objective:

Result 1: The capacities of communities—particularly women and youth—and local institutions are strengthened in the areas of peaceful coexistence, conflict prevention, and management related to natural resource governance.

Result 2: Access to sustainable and resilient livelihoods is improved for host, returnee, and refugee communities, particularly youth and women, by supporting agropastoral production.
