The overall objective is to contribute to the sustainable improvement of protection and living conditions for host populations, refugees, and returnees in the communes of El Megve and Fassala.
The specific objectives are:
- To strengthen the resilience of vulnerable populations and improve access to basic social services in the communes of Fassala and El Megve.
- To enhance governance and the technical capacities of local actors in the management of basic social services, natural resources, as well as in conflict management and prevention.
The target groups include pastoralists, agro-pastoralists, farmers, children, women, pregnant and breastfeeding women, local elected officials, technical service personnel, and healthcare workers.
The final beneficiaries are 27,055 individuals from the communes of Fassala and El Megve (moughataa of Bassikounou), including 1,123 registered refugees living in these two communes.
