Erasmus+ Mobility in Mauritania – Key Figures (since 2023)
- 41 participants have already benefited from the international mobility programme
- including 10 women and 31 men
- Duration of stays: from 4 days to 12 months
- Main destinations:
- France (14 participants) – Alès, Paris, Caen
- Spain (22 participants) – Cádiz, Cartagena, Granada, Las Palmas
- Italy (5 participants) – Palermo
- Profiles of participants: 25 students and 16 administrative staff
- Exchanges: Mauritania has also hosted 16 participants from Europe (France, Spain, Italy) for study visits
A Capacity-Building Project: GOOD MAUR-NIG
GOOD MAUR-NIG (Optimized Management of the Organization of Internationalization in Mauritania and Niger) is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, aiming to support the internationalization of universities and improve the management of academic cooperation.
The project supports five universities in Mauritania and Niger to:
- Optimize their organization for internationalization
- Position themselves in relation to existing opportunities
- Strengthen the skills of their staff
- Implement international activities adapted to their context
The project is structured around three main activities:
- Defining internationalization prospects through a cross-analysis of available resources and a mapping of possible mechanisms;
- Strengthening and developing staff capacities (academic and administrative);
- Managing internationalization activities effectively.
