The overall objective is to support the Ministry of Interior, Promotion of Decentralization, and Local Development (MIDEC) in the implementation of the National Migration Management Strategy (SNGM).

Specific objectives are to:

• Establish a coordination unit for the SNGM.
• Strengthen the capacities of MIDEC, other state actors, and civil society involved in coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the Action Plan of the National Migration Management Strategy.

Target groups: National and local authorities working on border and migration management.

Final beneficiaries: Migrant communities, the Mauritanian diaspora, and local communities.
