Are you a young graduate interested in international relations? Are you curious to learn more about work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in Cabo Verde?

What we offer?

A traineeship of up to 6 months directly attached to the Head of the Political, Press & Information Section and working closely with the Ambassador's Office at the EU Delegation to Cabo Verde, starting no later than 29 November 2019.

Main tasks:

  • Contribute to a comprehensive comparative analysis of the implementation of the EU-Cabo Verde Special Partnership and the impact of the EU instruments in its implementation;
  • Assist identifying opportunities for deepen and widen economic relations between the EU and Cabo Verde;
  • Assisting the Section in the conception and organisation of EUD public and cultural events, press conferences, etc.;
  • Assisting in the management of the EUD's website and social media; 

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be graduated from a university or equivalent higher education establishment with at least a Bachelor's level (Master’s degree finished or on-going, in International Relations will be an asset as well as knowledge of EU policies)
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English

Important information

Before applying you are requested to examine the dedicated website as well as the general eligibility criteria for a paid traineeship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 – Paid traineeship)

Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travel inside the country of residence, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.

Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.
