European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) Call for Proposals 2019 Reference number: EuropeAid/163361/DD/ACT/LR EU Liberia Agriculture Programme (EULAP) – Call for Proposals Reference number: EuropeAid/162392/DD/ACT/LR


The European Commission is seeking proposals for:

  • (1) initiatives aimed at trauma healing; and (2) initiatives aimed at enhancing constructive civic participation and addressing political tribalism in rural areas in Liberia, with financial assistance from the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights.
  • (1) Sustainable Cocoa Value Chain: initiatives aimed at downstream development of the cocoa value chain, improvement of quality control systems, and promotion of cocoa certification & development of better market linkages for sustainably produced cocoa; (2) Aquaculture Development: initiatives aimed at an enabling environment for private sector development and investment in aquaculture & strengthening the capacity of smallholder fish farmers; and (3) Community Management in the fisheries sector: initiatives aimed at approaches which focus on different potential functions of CMA's (local governance, delegated public authority, business development), with financial assistance from the EU Liberia Agriculture Programme funded by the 11th European Development Fund.

The full guidelines for applicants for both calls are available on the following internet site: deadline for submission of Concept Notes for the EIDHR call is 31/05/2019 at 10am Liberia time and for the EULAP call 07/06/2019 at 10am Liberia time. An information session on these calls for proposals will be held on 30 April at 10am at Corina Hotel, Tubman Boulevard, Monrovia.
