The European Union Delegation in Lebanon in collaboration with Al Madina Theatre presents the Lebanon’s European Theatre Festival 2019.

Université Saint-Esprit De Kaslik – (USEK) teams up with the European Union funded CEDRO project to implement a sustainable energy strategy at the university level and action plans to mitigate climate change. All this providing positive change to the university community at large.

Ralph Tarraf presented his credentials to President Michel Aoun today, taking up his duty as Ambassador of the European Union to Lebanon.

Reports of a drone incident south of Beirut led to new tensions in a region already affected by too much instability. It is the responsibility of all parties in the region to exercise maximum restraint, to comply with international law and to avoid any further escalation of a potentially dangerous and delicate situation, including by avoiding inflammatory rhetoric. The European Union expects all parties to fully abide by the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions, in particular UNSCR 1701 and 1559.

The life of Rita Becassini, aged 33, was transformed when she was asked to organise a day’s hiking in her home village of Tannourine, as part of the Lebanese Mountain Trail (LMT), the country’s greatest hiking route. This trail runs from the North to the South of Lebanon, passing through 76 villages. The project was funded and supported in part by the European union (EU).
