France is present through its local authorities, which are very active in Lebanon and which rely on the current political, institutional, and cultural relationships between both countries. There are more than 30 French-Lebanese partnerships spread across the country, covering key issues such as sanitation, community development, tourism, heritage, cultural exchanges, and urban planning. France also offers its expertise to support the process of decentralisation and the strengthening of local governance.
