Delegation of the European Union to the Lao PDR
The EU is one of Laos' biggest development partner in terms of grant aid for development cooperation and humanitarian assistance, and also an important trade partner.
The main objective of this project is to contribute to secured and improved livelihoods of poor rural women and men farmers in the Northern Uplands of Laos.
The overall objective of the project is to enable improved resilience of remote ethnic upland communities, in particular women, to the impact of climate variability and change, and contribute to the achievement of Millennium Development Goals 1, 3 and 7.
Improving food and nutrition security of ethnic women living in remote upland areas, their families and communities.
The specific objective of the project is to strengthen social, economic and cultural rights of women with regard to Gender Based Violence. This is achieved through improved awareness, knowledge and capacities among women, civil society organisations and key stakeholders.
The general objective of this project is to support eco-friendly and climate-resilient agriculture intensification through participatory development and extension of conservation agriculture farming systems in Lao PDR.
