The event will feature five EU experts from different EU Member States, covering Plant Health, Contaminants and Food microbiological criteria subjects. With an increasing amount of agricultural products exported to the EU, Cambodia was selected as hosting country.
ASEAN Member States, in addition to representatives from the national authorities of Pakistan and Bangladesh, are attending the workshop until during 23 to 26 January 2018. The first day took place in the form of a conference to which representatives from Cambodia's private sector working on plant products joined.
The conference will provide a general overview of the food and feed regulatory systems in the EU, and enable local participants to gain useful knowledge as exporters to the European Union.
The event is taking place at the Cambodiana Hotel, Phnom Penh, on the Mekong river side, enabling participants to learn from the workshop in a peaceful and relaxing way.
