The European development partners in Laos, including representatives of the European Union, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Kingdom and Switzerland sat with the representatives from line ministries to review the state of play of the European Joint Programming for Lao PDR for 2016-2020. The meeting co-chaired by H.E Dr. Kikeo Chanthaboury, Vice Minister of Planning and Investment and the EU Ambassador, Mr. Leo Faber was an opportunity for the European partners to present the seven priority sectors: Agriculture and Rural Development; Education; Environment and Natural Resources; Governance; Health; Nutrition; Private Sector development; and Complementary Sectors and to open discussion on related issues like monitoring and evaluation framework'. The event was followed up by sports activities which allowed participants to show the friendly spirit of European cooperation with Lao PDR.
