Easy and effective communication between police and youth – EUAM adviser explains

May 27, 2021

In close cooperation with the Canadian Police Mission, EUAM has developed advanced training to introduce Community Policing into already existing law enforcement bodies.

‘Effective Communication with youth’ is a part of this curriculum launched in May 2021 with 15 teachers at the Donetsk Law Institute. In this workshop, EUAM Adviser on Community Policing Larissa Rootmensen explains how police should talk to and act with youth to gain respect and trust, establish good relationships and encourage youngsters to behave accordingly. A law-enforcement officer who builds a good relationship with the youth can be a strong and protective figure for them.
