The activity organized by the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (TAIEX) Instrument of the European Commission in cooperation with State Inspectorate on veterinary and phytosanitary security under Kyrgyz government will last till 2 October.
The aim of the workshop is to familiarise participants with the general conditions of the GSP+ and to ensure that exporters from the Kyrgyz Republic will have all the procedures and documents in line with the set GSP+ conditions. The workshop will be conducted by 5 European experts from Latvia, Italy and Lithuania.
Kyrgyz participants will learn European experience for implementation, support and development of green economy. European requirements on production of agricultural goods, including animal, fish, honey products will also be reviewed by participants as well as European legislation regulating agri-food production.
Apart from that, information on testing and certification of goods along with ways to further import them to Europe will be shared with participants. It is expected that Kyrgyz state bodies and export-oriented producers will increase their knowledge on European requirements as a result of the workshop. That will contribute to successful utilization of the GSP+ by Kyrgyzstan.
To remind, it is the fourth workshop on GSP+ organized by the TAIEX for Kyrgyz partners. Three similar activities were conducted in 2017-2019.
