Twelve EU member states presented their products, national cuisine, souvenirs and printed materials, informational materials, organised interactive sessions for all, entertainments for children, fascinating games and quizzes.
In addition, the exhibition of 10 EU-funded projects in the KR took place as well as the original photo exhibition about Hungary and show program. Furthermore, cultural events took place in the EU Village, including performances of artists, songs and dances, competitions and games.
The German creative band TAPE THAT arranged a master class to create conceptual paintings by the means of colour tapes. Also guests of the EU Village had a chance to participate in unique master class offered by professional Pasadena dancers and tried to dance tango with them.
The EU Village ended by the night gala concert of artists from Latvia, Estonia, Finland and best singers of Kyrgyzstan.
"Following the success of the first EU Village a year ago, we decided to organize this event again. We can see a growing interest of the Kyrgyz people in Europe. Such events are the best and easy way to tell about Europe in a clear and manner", – Ambassador Eduard Auer, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Kyrgyz Republic said.
The EU Village was attended by the Embassies of Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. The event has been jointly organized by the EU Delegation and the Mayor's Office of Bishkek.
