The purpose of the roundtable is to discuss the future of the Twinning programme in Azerbaijan, to identify how to engage in a more strategic way in order to contribute effectively to the public administration reform process in the country.
"The EU Twinning is one of the most successful instruments of cooperation between EU and Azerbaijan. It helps to bring best European expertise to Azerbaijani institutions and to support the reforms for the benefit of people. This roundtable will help us to be even more effective in the future", - Head of EU Delegation, Ambassador Kestutis Jankauskas said.
Experts from the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies, Ministry of Taxes, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, Ministry of Agriculture, State Customs Committee, State Migration Service, Food Safety Agency, State Examination Centre, State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Issues will attend the event.
Twinning is a European Union instrument for institutional cooperation between Public Administrations of EU Member States and partner countries, such as Azerbaijan. Twinning projects bring results through peer-to-peer activities. During the last ten years 26 ministries and public institutions in Azerbaijan have taken part in 46 Twinning projects.
