Ambassador Apostolova spoked with Kosovo's Language Commissioner Slavisa Mladenovic about the use of the Law on Official Languages

On this European Day of Languages, the Head of EU Office/EU Special Representative, Nataliya Apostolova, spoke with Kosovo's Language Commissioner Slavisa Mladenovic on the implementation of the Law on use of Languages. Kosovo's institutions need to further increase efforts in implementing bilingualism, including the development of the Central Translation Unit led by the Office of the Language Commissioner.

"Without young generations being able to learn each other's language, the future of bilingualism & deeper cultural and societal communication is at stake. It is in the interest of all Kosovo to nourish a society where everyone feels Kosovo as their home. The European Day of Languages upholds our common values of respecting and promoting linguistic and cultural diversity", said ambassador Apostolova.
