Are you a young graduate interested in international relations? Are you curious to learn more about work in a diplomatic mission and how an EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in the Pacific?

Are you interested in transforming theoretical knowledge into hands-on real work experience by interacting professionally with partners such as project partners, development partners, civil society organisations and any other relevant entities of the Pacific Region?

What do we offer?

A traineeship of 6 months within the Governance Section of the EU Delegation for the Pacific.

Main tasks:

  • Contribute to work related to development projects in Fiji and the Pacific Region, with a focus on civil society's work, justice, gender and governance at large
  • Assist with the follow up and preparation of specific EU and/or project events Contribute to the preparation of speeches and briefing notes.
  • Assist through research tasks, summaries and meetings with regard to development projects

Before applying you are requested to examine the general eligibility criteria

for traineeships (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 - Paid traineeship for young graduates)

Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. However costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation and visa must be borne by the trainee.

Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.
