Election observation is a vital EU activity aiming to promote democracy, human rights and the rule of law worldwide. It contributes to strengthening democratic institutions, building public confidence in electoral processes, helping to deter fraud, intimidation and violence. It also reinforces other key EU foreign policy objectives, in particular peace-building.
In cooperation with EEAS and FPI, Election Observation and Democracy Support (EODS) - the capacity building project for EU Election Observation – will organise a five-day training course for Press Officers in European Union Election Observation Missions (EU EOMs).
The course will take place from 24 to 28 September 2018.
If you are an experienced journalist and you are interested in applying for the training, please register your CV in the EU roster for EOMs.
Registration in the roster is mandatory to apply for the course.
A call for applications, with the specific eligibility criteria, will be published mid-August 2018 on EODS website (http://www.eods.eu/) where applicants will be able to put forward their candidacy.
