Conference 25 January: Europe in Danger – What Next for EU Security and Defence?

High-Level Conference “Europe in Danger – What Next for EU Security and Defence?” will take place on 25 January 2022 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM (Brussels time).

This high-level conference is jointly organised by the European External Action Service and the EU Institute for Security Studies, under the patronage and with the participation of HR/VP Josep Borrell Fontelles.

Looking ahead to 2022 and beyond, Josep Borrell Fontelles, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission (HR/VP), will deliver a keynote speech on 25 January 2022  outlining what is at stake for EU security and defence and outlining his political priorities.   Following this opening, the HR/VP will engage in a moderated panel discussion with Nathalie Loiseau (European Parliament, Chair of the sub-Committee on Security and Defence), Alexander Stubb (School of Transnational Governance, European University Institute) and Robert Vass (GLOBSEC). Valentina Pop (Financial Times) will serve as moderator. To register for the event, please complete this registration form by 21 January 2022. The Conference  will be held online.
