The Fifth Call for Proposals under the EU Funded Programme Central Asia Invest launched

The Fifth Call for Proposals under the EU Funded Programme Central Asia Invest (CAI) – Boosting Small Business Competitiveness has been launched. Since 2007, CAI has been supporting the development of the private sector in Central Asia, with special emphasis on Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs).

EUR 10,950,000 are currently available for proposals jointly prepared by Business Intermediary Organisations (BIOs) from Central Asia and EU Member States (as well as a number of other countries eligible to apply – see annex L of the Call). The proposals will have to cover at least one of the following priorities:  access to finance, business, tax regulation and informal economy, promotion of intra-regional and international trade, capacities building of entrepreneurs and job seekers.

To help applicants to familiarise with the online submission system, Information Sessions will be organised as follows:

20 May – Dushanbe

22 May – Ashgabat

24 May – Bishkek

28 May – Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan (Mariott Hotel, Dostyk St.2 at 11:00 am)

29 May – Tashkent
