EU Delegation informs Civil Society Organisations about new project funding opportunity in Almaty, Astana, Shymkent and Atyrau
A team of EU Delegation staff held several meetings to inform interested Civil Society Organizations about a Call for Proposals funded by the Country Based Support Schemes for the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Right (EIDHR).
The information sessions took place at Narhoz University in Almaty on 1 March, in EU Delegation premises in Astana on 6 March, in Shymkent on 12 March and in Atyrau on 5 April.

The specific objectives of the Call are to provide support for:
(1) Human rights and human rights defenders most at risk;
(2) Fight against torture, ill treatment and discrimination, and;
(3) Democracy, including the promotion of freedom of the media and freedom of expression.
