On the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, the European Union reiterates its unswerving commitment to promoting and protecting the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) persons.

Today we mark the annual International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBiT). On this day, we express our support for, and solidarity with, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI) communities in Kazakhstan.

The European Union is outlining its vision for a renewed partnership with Central Asia, updating its strategy on relations with the region first set out in 2007.

NUR-SULTAN –The Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan together with the Centre of enhancing media competence with the support of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the results of the media contest for professional study tour for Kazakhstani journalists "EU – Kazakhstan: strengthening media partnership". The EU-Kazakhstan Media Contest seeks to enhance people-to-people links and raise awareness of the European Union among the media community in Kazakhstan.

NUR-SULTAN – On the eve of the Europe Day, the European Union Delegation to Kazakhstan presented “Taste of Europe” cookbook in Nur-Sultan. This book invites you to cook together and enjoy food that for long have been the European favourites. For centuries Europe has been a breeding ground for amazing culinary experiences. The European food heritage is a way to better understand the richness and uniqueness of our cultural diversity.
