Today a traditional working lunch meeting took place between EU member states' ambassadors accredited in Nur-Sultan and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tileuberdi.

On 18-19 November in Nur-Sultan, the European Union and the Republic of Kazakhstan held their 17th Subcommittee on Justice and Home Affairs and 11th Human Rights Dialogue. This year the annual meetings took place at a time of political change for Kazakhstan and a pivotal moment for EU-Kazakhstan bilateral relations with the ratification by all EU Member States of the EU-Kazakhstan Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA). The discussions were held in at an atmosphere of openness and constructive dialogue.

This year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child - the most widely ratified human rights treaty in history that has helped transform children's lives around the world for the better.

Brussels, 12 November 2019 – A new cross-border initiative will allow Afghan women to study and graduate from universities in the neighbouring Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

ALMATY – Today in Almaty Chaplin Mega Park theatre hosted the opening of the IV European Film Festival, organized by the European Union Delegation to Kazakhstan. The Festival will last from 5 to 7 November and present 16 films produced by the European Union Member States, as well as provide exclusive master-classes from the European filmmakers. The goal of the Festival is to present the best premieres of the European cultural heritage, to raise the interest of general public for cinematography art and enhance international cooperation.
