The first HELP Training of Trainers within the joint European Union and the Council of Europe "Central Asia Rule of Law Programme"
On 22 and 23 April 2021 the first regional HELP Training for Trainers (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals Programme) was organised for 37 legal professionals from the Central Asian region.
The training aimed at equipping the future trainers with necessary skills to play a role of tutors of the HELP courses in Central Asia. Having a regional scope, the training gathered judges, prosecutors, lawyers, legal professionals and civil servants from Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
At the two-day training, the participants got acquainted with the activites and objectives of the HELP Programme, learnt about the methodology and adaptation of the courses to the national legal systems of the beneficiary countries, gained insights as to implementation of the HELP Programme on the national level. Upon successful completion of the assignments, the participants will become certified trainers of the HELP experts pool and the first regional HELP trainers in Central Asia. This will further contribute to the increased use of the HELP courses for training legal professionals across the region.
