Following the contest results, 4 winners will be selected to take part in a week-long study tour to get acquainted with the EU institutions (the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, the European Commission, the European External Actions Service) and the media pool in Brussels. The winners will also attend the midday press briefings of the European Commission and will get the opportunity to get the insider view on the EU institutions mechanism. In addition, the winners will visit Bishkek, Republic of Kyrgyzstan, to attend the EU-Central Asia Ministerial meeting.
Moreover, all winners after the completion of the study tour will receive the recommendation letters and certificates on behalf of the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan, Information and Social Development Ministry and Kazmedia School.

Applicants are invited to submit a sample of their work, in Kazakh, Russian or English (published in 2018-2019), focusing on European Union-Kazakhstan cooperation issues. In terms of format, the work may be either written (a news story or opinion piece) or audio-visual.
The jury will pay particular attention to journalistic qualities and talent, including rigorous research, factual accuracy and creativity.

On 2 April 2018, the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan announced its first media contest to mark the 25th anniversary of EU-Kazakhstan diplomatic relations. Following the jury's voting, six winners were awarded a one-week training in the city of Brussels (Belgium). The program envisaged visits to the European institutions as the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, the European Commission, the European External Action Service and an introduction to the work of the journalist pool in Brussels.
