The European Union Delegation to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is looking for:
The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership among 28 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organisations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, which have a similar function to those of an embassy.
The EU Delegation to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan offers a post of Secretary . Under this post, the recruited person will be attributed functions depending on the needs of the Delegation. Upon recruitment, the successful candidate will occupy a specific job function as Secretary – this job function may be changed in accordance with the needs of the Delegation. Under this job function the successful candidate will serve as support staff to the following tasks and responsibilities under the supervision and responsibility of the relevant head of section:
SECRETARY – for the Political, Press and Information Section
The candidate must have a minimum professional experience of 4 years, including 2 years in tasks directly related to the post job description
Experience in an international working environment would be an asset
University studies in areas relevant to the duties would be an advantage (e.g. business administration, etc)
Excellent knowledge of computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, scheduling and communication.
Excellent command of English and Arabic
Prioritising and Organising:
- Capacity to deliver in a structured way.
- Organisational and coordination skills.
Working with Others:
- Ability to work in a team.
The working hours will be 37.5 hours per week from Sunday to Thursday. The place of employment is Amman and the post is group III.
