29.11.2019

This year’s edition of the Erasmus+ Study in Europe Fair, was held at the University of Nairobi on 20 and 21st November 2019, serving as a great platform for students to learn of the opportunities available to them to study, work and live in a European country.

More than 1,000 students from the University of Nairobi and neighbouring universities attended the two day event. Students interacted with representatives from the EU, EU member states and Erasmus alumni who have studied and lived in EU countries including Finland, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, UK, Italy, Hungary, France, and Ireland.

While addressing Students and Staff of the University of Nairobi at the opening session, EU Ambassador Simon Mordue said: "Erasmus is one of the ways that we can strengthen links between nations, people and institutions. I am privileged to have benefitted from this programme during my student years and therefore encourage all of you to apply for it. "

In attendance were ambassadors from EU Member States representing Germany, Ireland and Sweden.

Erasmus+ is an EU flagship program that has been running for more than 30 years, helping students to enrich their lives and open minds in education, training, and sports in Europe. The program encourages applications for scholarship and exchange program opportunities for undergraduate students wishing to pursue master’s degrees in member countries from the European Union.
