A delegation of EU civil society's representatives will visit Jordan on 26 and 27 March
The EESC delegation will hold meetings with civil society representatives and government officials
On 26 March the EESC delegation, led by the President of the European Economic and Social Committee Mr Georges Dassis, will be received by the President of the Economic and Social Council of Jordan HE Mr Mustafa Hamarneh and will have discussions with local civil society representatives. On 27 March the EESC delegation will meet the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation of Jordan HE Mr Imad Fakhoury, the Minister of Social Development HE Ms Hala Lattouf, the Minister of Labour HE Mr Samir Murad and the Speaker of the Senate HE Mr Faisal Al Fayez.
The main aim of the visit is to strengthen the existing ties between the Economic and Social Council of Jordan and the EESC, to develop the relations between civil society in Europe and in Jordan and to focus on the work of civil society organisations in the field of education and vocational training.
