European Research and Innovation Days
The European Commission’s annual European Research and Innovation Days will take place online on 23 and 24 June this year, showcasing over 60 live sessions covering a wide range of R&I topics, including Horizon Europe - the European Union’s Research and Innovation Framework Programme 2021-2027, the European Research Area, the European Innovation Ecosystems, and in-depth discussions around EU priories such as the digital advent, the post-covid recovery and others. The event programme shows the sessions and specialised workshops offered during the event, where participants will be able to discuss the most compelling research and innovation themes with panellists and fellow attendees from across Europe and beyond. The European R&I Exhibition part of the event will showcase over 100 EU-funded projects that have impacted on our daily lives.

EU-Japan Science Policy Forum
The EU-Japan Science Policy Forum takes place in the margins of the Science & Technology in Society forum (STS forum) in Kyoto in early October every year.

During this annual event, science ministers and senior officials, government science advisers, leading international scientists, industry CEO and key media personalities from around the world exchange views on global science and science policy issues. In 2020, the EU was represented by Ms. Maria Gabriel, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth. EU Researchers Day
The EU Researcher Day aims at bringing together the European research community currently based in Japan to discuss research, careers and relation to Europe.

The European Innovation Day aims at showing cooperation opportunities with Europe to the Japan-based community of innovators and institutions.
