In June 2017, the EU supplied six ambulances to the Ministry of Health to facilitate improved access to emergency prenatal and neonatal care for expectant mothers in rural areas in Jamaica. The ambulances were acquired under the Programme for the Reduction of Maternal and Child Mortality (PROMAC) funded by the EU.
