On 21 March the awards to the winners of the Israeli Young Scientists Competition were presented at the Knesset. About 70 young scientists, boys and girls, between 16-20, from all over Israel, participated in the final Competition of the Young Scientists.
The competition is part of the EU's research and development programs for the encouragement and cooperation of young scientists in Europe and Israel, and of the prestigious Intel-ISEF global competition in the United States.
The highlight of the competition was the award ceremony for the winners of the competition that took place in the Knesset.
4 winners will go on to represent Israel at the EU Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS) which will take place in Tallin, Estonia this September.
Since Israel began participating in the EU Contest, 26 Israeli pupils have won prizes.
The winners who will participate in the EUCYS this year are:
