EU project positions

The European Commission’s European Civil protection and Humanitarian aid Operations (ECHO), funds relief operations for victims of natural disasters and conflicts outside the European Union. For humanitarian aid, the Commission works with about 200 operational partners, including United Nation agencies, the Red Cross/Crescent movement and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Aid is channeled impartially, straight to victims, regardless of their race, ethnic group, religion, gender, age, nationality or political affiliation.

The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation is launching a call for proposals in the framework of the EU funded action “Resilience and Social Cohesion Programme”, which aims at identifying priority interventions focusing on the rehabilitation and improvement of municipal infrastructure and services. The initiative has been launched in order to contribute to the response to the Syrian Crisis, thus all the proposed projects must have an impact on local communities and Syrian refugees.
