The overall objective is to ensure Human Rights Due Diligence in global value chains through the promotion of civil society participation in the implementation of international labour and human rights standards in trade and sustainable development, with special focus on the electronics, footwear & garment industries in Vietnam.

The overall objective is to ensure Human Rights Due Diligence in global value chains through the promotion of civil society participation in the implementation of international labour and human rights standards in trade and sustainable development, with special focus on the electronics, footwear & garment industries in Vietnam.

Result 1: Promote the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP) as a tool to support compliance with International Labour Standards as stipulated in the EU-­Vietnam Free Trade Agreement Trade and Sustainable Development Chapter

Result 2: Support the revision of the Vietnamese labour law to comply with International Labour Standards in the context of Free Trade Agreements and ensure access to justice for victims of corporate abuses in global value chains in the revised labour law and national and intl. non-­judicial instruments.

Result 3: Promote the engagement of social partners and civil society in the EVFTA Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) & Joint Forum (JF) to monitor the implementation of the EVFTA TSDC and conduct a dialogue on sustainable development aspects of trade relations between Vietnam and the EU.
